Dre Cali Civil engineer turned Musician

Katende Andrew Stephen aka Dre Cali was born on the 23rd of February 1995 to a Christian family in Entebbe, Uganda.

He finished his Primary education at White Angels Primary school in 2007 and then he joined St Henry’s College Kitovu in Masaka for O’ level and finished it in 2011.

He later attended Mengo Senior School in Bukesa where he finished his Higher Education in 2013. He joined Uganda Christian University in Mukono and he acquired Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering in 2019.

The 26-year-old singer started doing music in 2015 and he is currently signed under Mpaka Records one of the greatest Record Labels based in Uganda.

He happens to be a crowed blessed and multi-talented artist good at Afrobeat, Dancehall, RNB, reggae, and as foley mentioned ONANAGIZA featuring Lydia Jazmine, EWALUMA, EBISOOOKA NE EBISEMBAYO, and EKIFUBA make it vivid and evident.

He rose to prominence as an artist in October 2019 with ZIGZAGA a reggae genre song that was recorded in Mpaka records studio which is available on Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, and iTunes.

Dre Cali has performed on a number of prestigious shows here in Uganda as Fezah and Club beats at home.

He is yet to scoop any Awards and Accolades musically.

This is his recent Maim about the previous collaboration together with Goodlife crew a.k.a Radio & Weasel and the uniqueness of this song is that you could not separate the late Legend Mosey Radio from Dre’s vocals.

The only difference is the looking and no resemblance at all but the 100% Vocal resemblance would make the fan think Radio is resurrected from the dead.
