JOADAH CONSULT Officially Opens by CEO Joel A’ita

Jaffer A’ita Joel is the CEO of Joadah Consults. He narrated the journey of how they managed to construct their offices in a bid to attract customers and it has already paid off.

The Ten Year Journey 2010 to 2020

In the year 2010, I had the vision to be in our own offices. Hence we bought a plot in Entebbe town. Immediately, we carried out a design. 

With 30m shillings available, I instructed my wife to start the construction. Later that year, we had a nice groundbreaking ceremony and promised people that we shall enter our building within 4 years.

This was 3 years after we had started Joadah Consult in 2007 and I hadn’t learned a lot of financial Literacy. As we were implementing contracts, I kept on putting part of the money in the building.

Later on, I learned a hard lesson, the building had eaten all our capital. Doing Consultancy work was becoming a problem.

I had to make a hard decision, we sold our home to capitalize the company but we also stoped the office construction. We went into rent for our home. 

Lesson 1: Don’t hurry to start construction as you build your company. Inject money first to build the company.
Once we settled, we decided to put in some money annually for the office building, when that money is finished, work for that year is over.

This took us from 2012 till 2020 when we substantially finished the construction.

So this week, I had my first meeting with a client from the USA. Before they came in they were looking at dealing with us in Uganda only.

However, when they visited us, they were very much impressed with our premise that they asked us to move with them to other countries in Africa. 

Lesson 2: Your presentation will earn you more deals.
So starting the month of April 2021 our New office shall be PLOT 48 CHURCH ROAD ENTEBBE, UGANDA.

The headquarter will comprise:

1. Ground floor: Reception, Staff Lunch Room, International Consultants office, boardroom, and washroom
2. First Floor: Joadah and Sister Company offices, Wash Room.
3. Second Floor: CEO’S office and 1st flat roof for Staff Aerobics, data center, and a Wine Collection cellar 
4. Roof Top Helipad. 

Lesson 3: The journey of 1000 miles starts with one step of faith. 
With all our sister companies Development Infrastructure,  Gloveg Agri, Reliance Steel, and others, this is going to be our headquarters.
